According to Téléfoot journalist Saber Desfarges, Paris Saint-Germain are keeping a close eye on Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram (25). Due to the expiry of the French international’s contract in June, Thuram is a wanted man as his contract with the Rhein outfit expires this June. Lilian Thuram’s eldest son is the current second-highest goalscorer in the Bundesliga with ten goals to his name with eighth-placed Mönchengladbach.
Thuram showed his capabilities on the biggest stage after being called up to represent France at the World Cup in Qatar and featuring for Les Bleus in the World Cup final defeat to Argentina. Get French Football News has covered the race to sign Thuram with Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan all showing interest in the Parma-born striker. Téléfoot are reporting that Thuram may be the replacement for Wolverhampton-bound attacking midfielder Pablo Sarabia (30) in the PSG squad.
However, Thuram’s desire to try a new championship could prove a sticking point for PSG. The player has already played in Ligue 1 with EA Guingamp. A move to either the Premier League or Serie A, therefore, seems more in line with the player’s desires.
