PSG coach Christophe Galtier said on Friday that Lionel Messi was 'operational' for Sunday's Ligue 1 Uber Eats clash - the all-important Classique at home to Arch-rivals Olympique de Marseille - after missing PSG's last two games through injury.

PSG's Argentinian striker Lionel Messi, who suffered a calf injury last week, is 'operational' again, two days before Sunday's Ligue 1 Uber Eats Classique against Olympique de Marseille at the Parc des Princes (Round 11), Paris coach Christophe Galtier said on Friday. Back in training "He trained normally with the squad today. He did the whole session," said Galtier in a press conference. "We'll see how he recovers from this session, and there's also tomorrow's session. As of right now, he is operational." Messi suffered a calf injury in the Champions League match at Benfica (1-1) on 5 October and missed the next two games, at Reims in the league (0-0) and again against Benfica (1-1) in the Champions League at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.
