PSG Mercato: ‘We Will Try to See How It Goes’ – Leonardo on Moise Kean’s Future With Paris SG | OneFootball

Moise Kean has rediscovered his confidence with Paris Saint-Germain. The 20-year-old has scored 14 goals in 26 appearances for the capital club; however, Kean’s tenure with Les Parisiens will end in June when his loan deal expires, and he heads back to Everton FC.

The agreement that brought Kean to the French capital didn’t include an option to buy clause. Nonetheless, The Toffees have named their price, which is around between €45-million and €50-million per Fabrizio Romano (via Paris Fans).

In his interview with France Bleu Paris, PSG sporting director Leonardo commented on Kean’s future with the French giants and whether his stay will continue past June. The Brazilian reveals that Everton didn’t want to let him leave, which is why they could only agree on a loan deal for Kean.

“Today, knowing a value is difficult. The choice was obvious. We chose to take a young player, whom we have known for a long time. We took it for one year, then we’ll see. Everton didn’t want to lose him. He plays very well; he scores. He has an important future,” Leonardo said.

“But there, we can not know. We could not do otherwise than the loan, and I think that having it available for a year was already very positive. If we can see the future under certain conditions, we will try to see how it goes. But today, it’s very complicated to know.”

Despite having a tough first season in the Premier League, Everton wants to bring back Kean as Carlo Ancelotti wants to rely on the young striker for the 2021-22 season. The club has named its price, and it will be up to PSG to either meet it or see the Italy international head back to England.
