Real Madrid defender Raphaël Varane has one more year left on his contract and doesn’t want to extend his stay in Spain. With Sergio Ramos recently announcing his departure from Los Blancos, Varane looks to follow.

According to Spanish media outlet Cadena Ser (via Canal Supporters), Real Madrid knows that the 28-year-old defender doesn’t want to extend his contract. The France international has rejected two contract extension proposals, which likely means the La Liga side needs to sell.

The two clubs that have expressed serious interest in Varane are Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain. However, a recent report has suggested that the Real Madrid defender doesn’t want to play for the Red Devils.

Varane has reportedly has rejected the option of signing with Manchester United. Furthermore, El Confidencial adds that the central defender wants a move back to France to join PSG.

A backline of Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe, and Varane does sound enticing. Real Madrid is looking for a transfer sum between €50-million and €60-million for Varane when it comes to the potential price.
