Paris Saint-Germain have held a meeting with the representative of Real Madrid’s Isco about the possibility of the playmaker joining the Ligue 1 champions.

That’s according to French outlet Paris United, who report that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi met Isco’s father and agent Paco Alarcón earlier this week.

The 26-year-old has fallen out of favour under Santiago Solari at the Bernabéu and seems destined to leave Madrid either in January or in the summer.

Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been linked with moves for the Spain international in recent weeks, but Paris United claim his preference is to join PSG, and there is confidence on both sides that a deal can be done.

In fact, Isco is understood to have spoken to Karim Benzema and Jesé Rodriguez about possibly moving to Paris.

Interestingly, Benzema is said to have spoken highly of the French capital, while Jesé – who flopped badly at PSG – advised Isco not to go.

But the former Málaga man is still believed to be up for a move to Ligue 1, and if PSG can make the transfer work with Financial Fair Play, it seems there is a good chance of it happening.

If/when he does leave, Madrid are likely to target Chelsea’s Eden Hazard as his replacement.
