PSG, Marseille, and Monaco will not be sanctioned for FFP at the end of the season | OneFootball

According to L’Équipe Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly not expected to face any sanction from UEFA’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules after the 2022-2023 season due to a “settlement agreement.” However, both Olympique de Marseille and AS Monaco will need to get back in compliance with FFP regulations, but no sanctions will be put in place at least until the 2025-2026 season.

Despite its large deficit, PSG should avoid immediate sanctions. However, the club must stay within FFP regulations to avoid penalties in the future which could include a reduction in Champions League squad size as well as a transfer embargo which could effect PSG’s competitiveness in UEFA club competitions.

If PSG does not comply with the FFP regulations, they could face exclusion from the Champions League, and the same applies to other clubs. OM and Monaco, while less in debt than PSG, have also been penalised, and both need to regain compliance with FFP rules to avoid further sanctions.

Although OM and Monaco have received lower fines than PSG, they are still required to balance their books to avoid further penalties.
