PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino applauded his players for their 'sacrifice' in Wednesday's 3-2 win over Bayern Munich.

Despite conceding two goals, the French outfit put in a resolute display to take a significant away victory in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie.

And Pochettino was delighted with the attitude of his players in the five-goal thriller.

"I am happy with the result and the attitude of the team, who found themselves in difficult situations against the best side in Europe," Pochettino said.

"We need to congratulate the players for their sacrifice and we want to repeat this kind of performance.

"Ninety more minutes to play. It is a good result but the return leg will be difficult. We know that."
