A much-changed Paris Saint-Germain lost their opening Ligue 1 game of the season after going down 1-0 to Lens.

Thomas Tuchel’s side were without seven first team players for this clash through a mix of Covid cases and injury.

And that rustiness from some of the second string was clearly on show early on as the capital club failed to break down the home side’s resolute defence.

PSG were struggling and they deservedly conceded on the hour mark after a close range finish from Ignatius Ganago.

The Champions League finalists continued to dominate possession but ultimately they couldn’t find an equaliser.
