Paris Saint-Germain are determined to sign sign N’Golo Kanté this summer.
That’s a claim made exclusively by The Mirror, who reckon PSG have set their sights on the Chelsea midfielder having failed to lure Idrissa Gueye from Everton.
The French champions are determined to improve their disappointing record in the Champions League next season and are likely to spend big on revamping Thomas Tuchel’s squad over the summer.
High on their shopping list is going to be a new defensive midfielder and Kanté would be a dream signing they’d likely to willing to pay a big fee for.
But whether Chelsea are able to countenance the possibility of selling their best midfielder and Eden Hazard in the same summer will probably make or break the transfer.
The Blues won’t want to lose two stars in the same season they could be under a transfer embargo and as things stand, it seems more likely Hazard will join Real Madrid than not when the window re-opens in a few weeks.
If PSG miss out on Kanté, The Mirror believe they are likely to turn their attention to Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucouré instead.
The Frenchman enjoyed an excellent season for the Hornets and could be ready for a move onto bigger and better things come the summer.
