Paris Saint-Germain have set their sights on Real Madrid Castilla’s talented centre-back Rafa Marin.

A report from Marca claims that PSG football advisor Luis Campos is an admirer of Marin and wants him for the club’s long-term future.

Considered one of the top talents to emerge from Madrid’s youth ranks, Marin has impressed with the reserves since making his debut last year. He was also called on to the first team on a few occasions.

While Los Blancos are not interested in losing Marin, PSG are looking to prise him away from the Spanish capital. The 20-year-old would reportedly consider a move to Ligue 1.

PSG want defensive reinforcements, with Sergio Ramos’ contract expiring next summer and Presnel Kimpembe’s deal ending in 2024.

The Ligue 1 giants are interested in extending Ramos’ stay, but it depends on the Spaniard’s performances this season.

Campos has significantly changed the transfer policy of PSG, bringing in a host of talented youngsters, including Vitinha, Nordi Mukiele, Fabian Ruiz, Carlos Soler and Hugo Ekitike this summer.

Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar remains on top of Campos’ wishlist. The Slovakian centre-back was heavily linked with a move to Parc des Princes during the summer transfer window.

PSG were eventually put off by Inter’s valuation, but his future remains uncertain with his contract expiring next summer.

Although Inter are keen to tie their skipper to a new deal, a host of Europe’s top clubs are monitoring his situation.

PSG are considering a move for the 27-year-old in January if the opportunity arises.
