Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Manu Koné (22). The France U21 international is considered a potential replacement for Marco Verratti, according to Le Parisien.
Verratti, a veteran of the club, is expected to leave PSG this summer. He has been informed by Luis Enrique and Luis Campos that he is surplus to requirements, according to L’Équipe. Saudi Arabian clubs have displayed considerable interest in the Italian international, although a departure does not seem imminent.
PSG are studying profiles that could potentially replace Verratti. Koné features on Les Parisiens’ shortlist, and talks between the relevant parties have recently taken place. The France U21 international is prepared to leave Borussia Mönchengladbach this summer and has previously been heavily linked with Liverpool and Newcastle United.
Despite PSG’s interest, no concrete advances have yet been made. Campos is, however, a fan of the player. PSV Eindhoven’s Ibrahim Sangaré also features on PSG’s shortlist.
