PSG have confirmed that their head coach Mauricio Pochettino has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 48-year-old will now be subject to a period of self-isolation until he returns a negative test, with his assistants Jesus Perez and Miguel D’Agostino set to take charge for the Ligue 1 clash with Angers on Saturday.

It’s been some week for the new PSG boss – this coming days after he lifted his first trophy as manager – the Trophée des Champions after beating Marseille on Wednesday.

Pochettino was announced as the new head coach of the Ligue 1 champions on January 3.
