Paris Saint-Germain aim to boost their wing play this summer, looking to fill the gap left by Kylian Mbappé and bolster their depth. Several players have been linked to the club in recent months, and now there’s a new name in the mix.
The Parisians have shown interest in talented wingers such as Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Athletic Club’s Nico Williams. Recently, they’ve added Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville to their list of potential targets for Luis Enrique.
Moreover, PSG have shown interest in Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruida. As a result, the capital club are keen on securing both Dutch players while beating out top Premier League clubs for a double swoop.
Journalist Graeme Bailey reports that the reigning Ligue 1 champions are the most advanced club to sign Summerville and Geertruida this summer. Despite the interest from Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle United and West Ham for the Dutch duo, Paris is ahead of the race.
Last season, Geertruida scored eight goals and recorded five assists in the Eredivisie. Meanwhile, Summerville made 49 total appearances for Leeds United this past 2023-24 season, scoring 21 goals and registering 10 assists for the Championship side.
