Paris Saint-Germain will have to do it the hard way if they are to overcome rivals Marseille in Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash.

The league leaders travelled to the Stade Vélodrome looking to increase their nine-point lead at the top of the table, and the first half was an even affair, with both sides having chances.

Lucas Beraldo was shown a yellow card for dragging down OM striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after 15 minutes, and that yellow became a red later in the second half for another foul by the PSG defender on the same player.

VAR intervened to send Beraldo for an early bath after just 39 minutes for a shove on Aubameyang, and Les Parisiens could now have a long night ahead of them in the Marseille rain, with the home fans really getting behind their team.

Marseille’s last Ligue 1 victory over PSG came back in 2020.
