PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe sustained a hamstring injury in the Ligue 1 champions’ league encounter against Brest on September 10. As reported previously, the Frenchman went to the Aspetar clinic in Doha to undergo a rehabilitation programme to fix the issue.

Updating on the latest developments, L’Équipe report that Kimpembe should return to rejoin his club from Qatar on Saturday. It was previously anticipated that the 27-year-old would be on the sidelines for six weeks.

Due to the injury, the defender could not make the French squad assembled for their last two 2022/23 Nations League fixtures against Austria and Denmark, respectively. And now, his place in the World Cup squad is at risk.

“Benefiting from Aspetar’s services is important as a top-level athlete. The expertise of the staff as well as the high-quality facilities will allow me to treat myself in the best possible conditions. As a professional, this complex, for me, is the ideal place.”
