Despite Lille OSC’s reticence to sell and the considerable financial difficulties involved in the deal, Paris Saint-Germain continue to push to sign Leny Yoro (18), according to Foot Mercato.

Lille remained determined to keep France youth international Yoro this window, despite his current deal expiring in the summer of 2025. According to RMC Sport, it is unlikely that Yoro will extend his current deal with Les Dogues, and a summer departure is envisaged, with top clubs such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United all in the hunt to sign the talented young centre-back.

Llorente move on standby

But PSG are looking to steal a march on the competition and get a deal done this month. Les Parisiens are making assurances to the player, reassuring him that he will quickly be given the room to flourish at PSG. However, convincing Lille will be more difficult, although Luís Campos continues to push to ensure Yoro’s arrival at the Parc des Princes this January. €50m could be enough to pull off the transfer, according to Foot Mercato.

Meanwhile, PSG are looking to advance the deal to sign Diego Llorente (30). The Spaniard is appreciated by Luis Enrique and is currently on loan at AS Roma from Leeds United. Llorente is seemingly PSG’s backup should a move for Yoro fail and new talks have taken place in order to have the standby option ready to go.
