In an official club communiqué, Paris Saint-Germain confirmed that midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery (17) will not be available to face Strasbourg on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 17:00).
“Warren Zaïre-Emery suffered a left ankle injury while on international duty and will be unavailable for the match against Strasbourg,” read the official statement from PSG. The club also provided updates on Nuno Mendes, Marco Asensio, and Presnel Kimpembe, with the former in a “recovery period” following and operation and the latter two following “their recovery plans”.
Zaïre-Emery has featured in every match for Les Parisiens so far this season, and is rested for the first time this season with the Champions League match against AC Milan next week in mind.
PSG’s internationals have returned fit. Marquinhos and Manuel Ugarte are fresh off the back of facing each other last week for Brazil and Uruguay, whilst Kylian Mbappé returns off the back of his goal-scoring exploits for Les Bleus. Meanwhile, Kang-in Lee returns to PSG’s squad after spending over a month with South Korea on international duty.
