Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the departure of manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine coach was appointed in the French capital in January 2021, replacing Thomas Tuchel in the dugout, and won 55 of his 84 games in charge.
Pochettino failed to win Ligue 1 in his first season in charge but did lift the Coupe de France.
The league title followed in 2021/22, a first in the former Tottenham manager’s career, but a last 16 Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid ultimately failed to meet the expectations of the PSG hierarchy, who have ambitions of European glory.
According to L’Équipe, Pochettino and his staff will receive €10m in compensation. Former Nice manager Christophe Galtier is expected to be announced as his successor.
