In speaking to PSG TV, as quoted by , Paris coach Christophe Galtier explained how his first few months at the Parc des Princes has differed from his spells at other clubs, saying:

“I’m in a position where there is international visibility… You have to be as natural as possible in the day-to-day management with the players, making sure that everything that is said remains as confidential as possible because, afterwards, everything is greatly amplified. And within this media exposure, I notice that, ultimately, when you are Paris Saint-Germain, the glass is always half empty, it is never half full. We must also be very careful, and not let ourselves be overwhelmed by criticism… I honestly think we’re off to a good start. The results mean that there are a lot of smiles, but the reverse can also be true! Many smiles, so good results! The group’s cohesion is very important and there’s a desire to do things together. It’s very important that when the players arrive here at the Training Centre, they are really happy to come to work, to meet, to talks and share every day. Is there a particular recipe? No, I’m very natural, I’m very frank with the players, very direct.”
