Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos (29) could make his return from injury when Les Parisiens face FC Nantes in Ligue 1 on Saturday, as reported by L’Équipe.
Marquinhos suffered a hamstring injury whilst on international duty with Brazil in November, and has not featured for PSG since. However, as confirmed by the club on Wednesday, the centre-back participated in almost the entirety of Wednesday’s session, and he managed the same on Thursday. With two days to go until the match against Les Canaris at the Parc des Princes, Marquinhos looks set to be included in the squad, however, it is unclear whether he will be fit enough to start the encounter for the league leaders.
PSG also confirmed that Warren Zaïre-Emery is ahead of schedule in his return from a sprained ankle, also suffered whilst on international duty. The France international participated in the majority of Wednesday’s session, and internally, there is a belief that he could be included in the squad to face Borussia Dortmund next week. PSG had initially said that Zaïre-Emery would not feature again in 2023.
