Paris Saint-Germain have identified OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram as a top target for the summer, according to Foot Mercato.

Since moving from Monaco in 2019, the highly-coveted French midfielder has grown by leaps and bounds, making more than 100 appearances for Les Aiglons.

Thuram’s impressive form also led to his debut with the France national team last month.

Having grown in stature, the younger brother of Marcus Thuram has caught the attention of top clubs, including PSG.

Les Parisiens football director Luis Campos continues to scour the market for top-quality homegrown talents ahead of a potential squad overhaul in the summer.

The Portuguese director’s modus operandi has been investing in more young talents who can help PSG in the long run.

Having already identified Randal Kolo Muani and Moussa Diaby as potential targets for the summer, PSG have now set their sights on Thuram.

Midfield reinforcements are a priority after Renato Sanches, Vitinha and Carlos Soler failed to make a desired impact in their debut season in Ligue 1.

Thuram is one of the best young central midfielders in Europe who excels at dribbling and progressing the ball.

PSG are expected to face competition from Manchester City and Liverpool for the 22-year-old, while Real Madrid are also in the race.

Monaco have set an initial valuation of around €60 million, and they expect a bidding war due to the number of clubs involved.

Following another Champions League disappointment, PSG are looking to rebuild the squad in the summer.

Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar is the only prospective signing at the moment, while Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos have been linked with an exit.
