Paris Saint-Germain have officially confirmed the signings of Marco Asensio and Milan Skriniar, who have both arrived on free transfers.

Skriniar’s contract with Inter Milan expired at the end of the last season, and he had agreed a pre-contract with PSG long ago.

The Slovakian centre-back has penned a five-year contract at the Parc des Princes until 2028.

Duris his six-year spell at San Siro, the 28-year-old has clocked up more than 200 appearances, winning the Serie A in 2020/21 and two Italian Super Cups and Coppa Italia.

Skriniar was sidelined for the second half of the last season due to a back injury. He underwent surgery in April.

“I feel very happy, really good, and I’m very happy to be part of such a club,” Skriniar said on signing for the French giants.

“Paris Saint-Germain is one of the best in the world with world-class players and incredible fans.”

The Ligue 1 giants followed up with the unveiling of Asensio, who has put pen to paper on a new deal until 2026.

Les Parisiens won the race for the Spanish attacker despite competition from top clubs after he left Real Madrid when his contract expired.

Despite not being a regular at Santiago Bernabeu, Asensio has a stacked trophy cabinet, winning the Champions League four times, three La Liga titles and one Copa del Rey.

The 27-year-old will be hoping to nail down a prominent role under his compatriot Luis Enrique, who was unveiled as the new head coach of PSG yesterday.

PSG have also completed the deals for Mallorca forward Lee Kang-in and Sporting CP midfielder Manuel Ugarte – only the official announcement is missing.

Les Parisiens are also keen on bringing back Xavi Simons from PSV Eindhoven and have decided to trigger his buyback clause.

However, the final decision rests with the Netherlands international.
