Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race for sought-after Croatian centre-back Luka Vuskovic, reports Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 16-year-old recently became the youngest player in Croatian top-flight history after making his senior team debut with Hajduk Split.

He received further attention after Premier League champions Manchester City submitted a bid worth €12 million to the Croatian outfit to sign him.

Hajduk have not responded to the offer yet and the race has become fierce, with several European clubs interested in signing him.

The Croatian prodigy has caught the attention of football advisor Luis Campos, who wants to lure him to Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG are also looking to loan Vuskovic back to Hajduk if they sign him this summer.

The signings of Vitinha, Nordki Mukiele and Hugo Ekitike last summer showed Campos’ penchant for young talents, and he wants to further enhance the talent pool with Vuskovic.

PSG are also keen on signing Benfica sensation Cher Ndour, who made his first-team debut last week in the league game against Victoria SC.

Les Parisiens have endured another turbulent Champions League campaign, suffering a disappointing elimination in the round of 16 against Bayern Munich.

Almost the entire squad have come under intense scrutiny for showing a lack of fight in the defeat to Bayern, which extended their hoodoo in the European competitions.

As a result, the futures of numerous first-team stars have been thrown into doubt.

Lionel Messi’s contract expires at the end of the season, and PSG are yet to find a breakthrough in talks over his renewal.

The Argentine World Cup winner is considering several options including a possible return to Barcelona this summer.
