Despite the fact he's yet to turn 20 years of age, Jamal Musiala is already one of the best footballers on the planet.

The 19-year-old has been in outrageous form at Bayern Munich in 2022/23 thus far and was Germany's standout player at the 2022 World Cup.

Prior to Bayern's Champions League last-16 first leg against Paris Saint-Germain, Musiala had scored 14 goals and contributed 11 assists with his serial winning club this season.

And while the teenage sensation was unable to add to his enormous combined tally in the French capital on Tuesday evening, he still further enhanced his already glowing reputation.

Musiala was once again magnificent in a game Bayern pretty much dominated at the Parc des Princes, aside from a late disallowed goal by Kylian Mbappe for the most marginal of offsides.

A second half strike from Kingsley Coman - who actually came through PSG's youth system - secured a crucial victory away from home for the German champions.

Perhaps the only slight negative for Bayern is they will feel they could be going into the second leg at the Allianz Arena with a far bigger advantage in terms of scoreline.

Julian Nagelsmann's side had numerous chances to grab another goal in the second half of play, one of them coming courtesy of a magnificent piece of skill by the aforementioned Musiala.

And poor ol' Nuno Mendes was almost sent into another dimension by the fleet-footed German playmaker.

Stop that, Jamal!

The kid is a superstar in the making - if he's not one already, which he may very well be.

If Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting had been able to convert the opportunity presented to him by Musiala, we'd be sat here talking about one of the great Champions League assists.

Sadly, we're not.

A Benjamin Pavard second yellow card in stoppage-time for a wild tackle on Lionel Messi made things a tad nervy for Bayern and Musiala, but they held on for a 1-0 lead.
