Newcastle United and Portsmouth are declared champions of FA Women’s National League Northern and Southern Premier Divisions respectively.

NORTHERN PREMIER DIVISION

AFC Fylde 0-3 Wolverhampton Wanderers Halifax 1-0 Derby County Newcastle United 10-0 Huddersfield Town (Att: 7,382) Stoke City 1-0 Burnley (Att: 88) Stourbridge 2-3 Liverpool Feds (Att: 175)

Newcastle United made it back-to-back promotions when overcoming Huddersfield Town, to seal their place in the Barclays Women’s Championship and send their visitors down.

Stoke City got the only goal of the game to beat second-placed Burnley, Lily Murphy with the drilled cross which led to an own-goal.

Liverpool Feds went sixth with three of the five goals at Stourbridge, featuring Katie Anderson’s late and decisive volley.

Halifax defeated Derby County to go within two points of them, Drew Greene the scorer before the hosts saved a penalty. Wolves got three goals and three points at relegated Fylde.

SOUTHERN PREMIER DIVISION

Ipswich Town 2-0 Hashtag United (Att: 492)

Hashtag United’s title hopes were ended with points dropped at Ipswich Town, which handed non-playing Portsmouth the title as their elevation to the second tier was confirmed. Natasha Thomas hit her 150th goal for Ipswich Town to break the deadlock midway through the second half, Ruby Doe then making sure of the win in added time.

DIVISION 1 MIDLANDS

Peterborough United 2-1 Northampton Town Sheffield FC 1-0 Leek Town (Att: 55)

Third-placed Peterborough saw off fifth-in-the-table Northampton, Sadie Smith got the sole goal after 67 minutes to give Sheffield FC victory in the basement battle with Leek Town, whom they now only trail on goal-difference.

DIVISION 1 NORTH

Leeds United 4-1 Chorley (Att: 270) York City 3-0 Chester le Street Town (Att: 160)

Jessica Rousseau and substitute Kathryn Smith each bagged a brace in Leeds’ win over Chorley that lifted United into fifth spot. York City are out of the drop zone at the expense of Chester le Street, whom they sent to a 3-0 defeat with Sophie Tinson netting all three.

DIVISION 1 SOUTH EAST

Cambridge United 3-0 Cambridge City (Att: 78) Haywards Heath Town 1-1 Norwich City London Seaward 0-2 AFC Wimbledon (Att: 150) Worthing 3-3 Ashford Town (Att: 133)

AFC Wimbledon are all but up after winning at London Seaward, while Norwich City were held at relegated Haywards Heath. Sandra Soares Martins and Emily Donovan got the goals for the Dons, Ellie Smith’s opener for the Canaries was cancelled out by Storm Bailey.

Third-placed Worthing shared six goals with mid-table Ashford Town aided by a couple direct from free kicks by the Rebels’ Georgia Tibble, Cambridge United won the derby with relegated Cambridge City.

DIVISION 1 SOUTH WEST

AFC Bournemouth 5-0 Torquay United Keynsham Town 1-3 Abingdon United (Att: 49)

AFC Bournemouth put five past relegation-threatened Torquay United to close the gap on leaders Exeter City to five points, with one game in hand. Molly Barron-Clark starred with a hat-trick for the Cherries. Abingdon United won the mid-table meeting at Keynsham Town to remain two places ahead of them.
