A highly-rated Manchester United youngster will reportedly be left out of the club’s upcoming United States pre-season tour ahead of an expected loan move.

Several youngsters set to seal loan transfers

A number of players from United’s academy are likely to leave on loan this summer in search of regular first-team minutes elsewhere.

Seeing as the Red Devils will not be playing in Europe next season, with their primary focus being on progression in the Premier League, playing time may prove hard to come by; hence the club’s decision to sanction loan moves for a number of starlets.

There have been suggestions that Ruben Amorim himself wants to work with a reduced squad.

Sonny Aljofree and Dan Gore have already temporarily left United, joining Notts County and Rotherham United respectively.

Harry Amass is also expected to head out on loan, while a recent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Elyh Harrison is on the brink of joining Shrewsbury Town.

It appears the mentioned players will be joined by Ethan Williams on their way out of the club.

Williams decision made

According to Nathan Salt of the Daily Mail, United have made the decision not to travel to the United States with Williams, who will be loaned out.

Salt wrote on X, “Expectation is that Ethan Williams won’t go on the US tour and will instead focus on leaving on loan this summer.”

“Host of League 1 teams keen on him after he impressed in League Two last season with Cheltenham Town.”

Williams made 17 appearances for Cheltenham, contributing two goals and as many assists.

All eyes will now be on where he ends up as part of the next stage of his development. No doubt he will be keen to impress and perhaps break into Amorim’s first-team plans at Old Trafford.
