Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin has seen his agent speak out in yet another interview about his lack of game time.

The Romanian has now been at Spurs for just over one month after making the move from Genoa in the January transfer window.

And his agent has now been discussing the likelihood of the 22-year-old being called up for the Romania squad with the Euros on the horizon.

Radu Dragusin Tottenham appearances

After making the move to Spurs, it was revealed that the centre-back had snubbed some huge potential moves to the likes of Bayern Munich and Napoli.

However, he is having to bide his time to work his way into Ange Postecoglou’s starting XI with just cameo appearances to his name.

His agent has already spoken about the expectation in the player’s camp that it would be a gradual process in earning a starting spot.

And now Dragusin’s agent has been speaking to the Romanian outlet Fanatik about the upcoming Euros:“There have always been and will always be problems, but the important thing is that we are there, that we have qualified,” he said

“Of course, now the selector’s problems… All selectors, when they arrive and when they settle in you know what they say… ‘With me, players who don’t play don’t come to the squad!’

“But all the managers have had problems since we don’t have such a large pool of valuable players. For example, this boy, Dragușin… If he doesn’t play or plays less, because it’s normal after all, he went to a new team, he went to another league, a team that was formed, he needs time to become a starter… My opinion is that you can’t not call him up to the national team.”

Dragusin needs patience at Spurs

The centre-back’s agent isn’t the only member of his camp who has been speaking about his lack of minutes.

Even his own mother has provided her thoughts on the matter, but they all seem to be thinking the same.

The impressive partnership formed by Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero was always going to be a difficult one to break.

But the Romanian is clearly patient and is aware of the situation at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Postecoglou has already admitted that he has been impressed with what he has seen from the Romanian so it may just be a matter of time before he is handed an opportunity.

At just 22, Dragusin is an option for the long-term and if he continues to impress at Hotspur Way then he will surely work his way into Postecoglou’s XI.
