On Monday, Mike Tresor was crowned as the Belgian Pro League Player of the Season. Today, he has been included in Domenico Tedesco’s squad for upcoming European qualifiers against Austria and Estonia. Tresor broke the record for assists in a single Pro League season with 24, while he also chipped in with eight goals. The 24-year-old has been outstanding this season and many were surprised that he wasn’t included in Tedesco’s first squad a few months ago.
Tresor’s Genk side were minutes away from winning the league title at the weekend, until former Tottenham and Red Devil’s defender Toby Alderweireld scored an equaliser which gave Antwerp their first title since 1957.
the winger will not be the only Pro League player who stands to win their first Red Devils cap, with Cercle Brugge’s Olivier Deman also included in the squad. Their first game will be a sell out against Austria at home, before a trip to Estonia.
