Finish position: 7th

Overview:

After finishing in the bottom four last season, the Zebras rallied to win play-off two and gain a ticket for European football qualification. Rik De Mil is now being linked with a number of other jobs in the Pro League after the work he has done with the side this season. Daan Heymans and Nikola Stulic provided the goals for Charleroi, something that has been missing in recent seasons. While European football will still take some work, the club and its fans must surely consider the 2024/2025 campaign highly successful.

Player of the Season: Adem Zorgane

How the Algerian midfielder is still at the club remains a mystery. 25-year-old Zorgane has been the sides best player since he joined from AC Paradou in the summer of 2021. He grabbed one goal and six assists in 41 games but his contribution goes beyond goals and assists. He is the heartbeat of the side and a player of real quality. Even with European football on the horizon, keeping Zorgane this summer should prove an almost impossible task for Charleroi.

Young Player of the Season: Yacine Titraoui

Another from the AC Paradou production line, summer signing Titraoui has been a fantastic pick up. The 21-year-old has grabbed two goals and one assists in 32 games but like his fellow Algerian Zorgane, his contribution is more than goals and assists. The two have formed a strong midfield partnership and should Zorgane leave, Charleroi need to ensure they keep Titraoui at least.

Summer needs:

Keeping Rik De Mil is the first thing the side need to do. After that, if they want to have any chance of European football they need to have more depth across the squad. Replacing the soon to depart Heymans will also be key, as his 15 goals in 40 games was a major factor in their success this season.
