Poppy Pritchard featured for the first half of England Under-19s’ 3-1 defeat to Spain in their semi-final of the UEFA Women’s European Championship.

The City striker was positioned towards the left flank of England’s attacking line as the game began.

Spain looked the brightest of the two sides in the opening exchanges, showcasing their speed and clinical passing when they looked to break through England’s defence.

Their relentless energy paid off in the 25th minute when Agote put Spain ahead.

England began to grow into the game towards the end of the opening 45 minutes with Pritchard continuing to look like one of England’s brightest players throughout the tournament.

A handful of corners on the brink of half-time gave the young Lionesses a chance to find an equaliser but Spain were able to keep the blockade up.

Spain dealt England a blow on 45 minutes after Pau doubled her nation’s lead.

At the interval, Pritchard made way for Godfrey as England looked to add fresh legs to their attacking options.

England managed to pull a goal back through Liverpool’s Enderby but a third for Spain in the 69th minute, this time Arques finding the back of the net, left the finals just out of reach for England.

Spain, on the other hand, reach their 11th EUROs final. They will face either France or the Netherlands.
