Barcelona target Joan Garcia is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after goalkeepers on the market this summer.

While he has not made a final decision yet, it is expected that his future will be sorted in the coming days.

As things stand, Barça are the best positioned to sign the talented shot-stopper from Espanyol, but there is also interest from Real Madrid and several Premier League clubs.

Speaking about his future

In a recent interview, Garcia gave some insight into his mindset, and from that, one thing is clear: he wants to join a club where he will be the first-choice goalkeeper.

“My phone is a little saturated, which doesn’t really bother me. I try to live it calmly because that’s how I am. I like that people talk about me, but I take it naturally,” Garcia began saying.

He added that he does not let the constant speculation affect him. “I try to stay away from the noise, but it still reaches you. It’s something I can’t fully control.

“News keeps coming out here and there, but until something is confirmed, I stay relaxed. Whatever I choose, I will think about it deeply and go with what’s best for me.”

He wants to take his time

While many expect a decision soon, Garcia made it clear that he is in no rush.

“The decision doesn’t just depend on me: it depends on the clubs of me too, but what I am very clear about is that what I decide will be one hundred percent convinced… and if I have to take longer, I will take longer.”

Though Barcelona remain favourites, Garcia hasn’t ruled out a move abroad. “I’m very open to leaving Spain. It’s an option. It doesn’t scare me at all,” he confirmed.
