The price tag for Athletico Paranaense keeper Bento has risen to €20 million, as Inter Milan, Chelsea, Benfica, Wolves, and Nottingham Forest are all keen.

Reports in the Brazilian press, via FCInterNews, suggest that Paranaense have already rejected offers from the Nerazzurri and Benfica.

Bento’s profile has risen significantly in the last few weeks.

This is because of the 24-year-old receiving his first ever cap for the Brazilian national team.

Bento was part of the Selecao during the recent international break.

And because of injuries to Liverpool’s Alisson and Manchester City’s Ederson, the Paranaense keeper got the nod in the starting eleven for a recent friendly against England.

Bento helped Brazil keep a clean sheet in that match, a 1-0 win.

Naturally, the fact that Bento is now a full Brazilian international has increased the interest in the young goalkeeper.

Inter had already been closely following the Paranaense keeper.

Reports suggest that Bento is among the Nerazzurri’s major targets to succeed Yann Sommer in goal in the long term.

But it is not just Inter who are keen to bring Bento to Europe. There is also Portuguese giants Benfica.

Brazilian media report that Inter made an offer of €15 million to Paranaense. And Benfica put a bid of €10 million on the table.

But Paranaense rejected both of these offers.

The Brazilian club believe that they can get more for Bento given his growth in form and status as a full Brazil international.

And in the meantime, interest is starting to emerge in Bento in the Premier League.

Chelsea, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Nottingham Forest all consider the Brazilian a target.

Therefore, there could be a bidding war for Bento during the summer transfer window.

And the player is not likely to leave his club for less than €20 million according to Brazilian media.
