The Blues have lifted the trophy in each of the last two seasons and a London derby now stands in their way of reaching another semi-final.
West Ham United will be tough opponents for The Blues after a last-gasp equaliser rescued them a point from their latest Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture at high-flying Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Head coach Olli Harder will be without Adriana Leon through injury while Mackenzie Arnold, Tameka Yallop and Yui Hasegawa are away on international duty. Defender Hawa Cissoko is available to play despite being sent off in Sunday’s fixture against Spurs.
Chelsea continue to be without Sam Kerr and Ji So-yun who are away on international duty. Blues boss Emma Hayes has confirmed that Magda Eriksson remains injured while Melanie Leupolz is struggling with the effects of long COVID. Maren Mjelde and Lauren James are not ready to be called upon.
The FA Women’s Continental League Cup quarter-final tie between West Ham United and Chelsea kicks-off at 7.30pm on Wednesday evening. Tickets for the match remain available here.
