Watford and Burnley face each other Friday at Vicarage Road in Matchday 43 of the EFL Championship.
The Hornets are currently 11th on 56 points and a 2-1 defeat to West Brom last time out effectively ended any slim hopes Tom Cleverley's team had of a late play-off charge.
Burnley, meanwhile, are looking good in second place in the table on 88 points. Scott Parker's team prevailed 2-1 against Norwich City to boost their chances of automatic promotion to the Premier League and a win at Watford would put them in a very strong position.
Tom Wicks - Golden Pages : As HMS Cleverley steers a few degrees south of the playoff zone, Watford supporters enjoying the Vicarage Road sunshine on Friday will get to see a club that managed to keep bouncing back to the Premier League, in Burnley.
The Hornets hobble towards the end of the season wondering whether recency bias has prompted them to consider this anything but a successful season, but one which might have been even better.
There may be an opportunity for some of the Academy side - heroically defeated by state-owned Man City in the FA Youth Cup semi-final - feature from the bench.
Far better teams than Watford have failed to score against Burnley, and it will be no surprise to see the Golden Boys fall short in front of goal.
Anything other than watching the Watford ship capsize will be welcomed by the faithful.
Prediction: 0-3
Joe Redmond (TurfCast): Burnley could even be confirmed as a Premier League club on Monday.
But for that to be the case, they have to go to Vicarage Road and win.
If they follow a win against Watford up with a win against Sheffield United on Easter Monday it will all be done and dusted.
But Watford won’t be an easy nut to crack, and the Clarets can’t afford to get complacent.
The Hornets have been hit and miss this season admittedly but have been impressive at Vicarage Road this season.
However, with not much to play for, this Claret is hoping that the Hornets will be on the beach for the weekend.
