The two sides recently met in the quarter-finals of last season’s Vitality Women’s FA Cup with Arsenal running out 5-1 winners in Boreham Wood. The Gunners have an excellent record against their North London rivals, never losing to Spurs since the club became a professional outfit.
Spurs head coach Rehanne Skinner confirmed in her pre-match press conference that she will be without midfielder Cho So-hyun for the visit of Arsenal with the player suffering concussion. Chinese international Tang Jiali could return to the side after missing last weekend’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United with a knock.
Defender Jen Beattie and attacker Tobin Heath could return to the Arsenal squad after not travelling to Denmark with the team for their latest UEFA Women’s Champions League fixture in midweek. Viktoria Schnaderbeck remains sidelined but is nearing a return while Swiss international midfielder Malin Gut is out for the long term.
The North London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal is scheduled to kick-off at 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon. Tickets are available to purchase by clicking here.
