This is an important fixture for the Whites as they look to climb back up the division, a win would see them leapfrog Stockport in the table, despite having played four games less.

Last time out in the league, Leeds won 5-1 against Merseyrail, whilst Stockport were held to a 1-1 draw by Norton & Stockton Ancients.

A new arrival:

The Whites have strengthened their defensive areas for the second half the season, bringing in left-sided-defender Codie Thomas from Manchester City Women's development side.

Manager Rick Passmoor gave his thoughts, saying: “We needed to strengthen our backline, with some key players out injured at the moment.

“So it was imperative over the next few months to make sure we had enough to continue our recent momentum, both in the league and in the cups.

“Codie has progressed through Manchester City’s youth system and is athletic, with a high-calibre of technical ability and also offering us versatility, playing across the backline at full-back or centre-back.

“She’s going straight into the squad for Wednesday night’s league match at Stockport County and we’re looking forward to working with her for the rest of the season.”

Supporter Information:

For supporters wishing to attend, kick-off is 7.45pm at Stockport Sports Village, Lambert Grove, Woodley, Stockport, SK6 1QX.

For those who can’t attend, we will have live updates right here on leedsunited.com and highlights will be available on LUTV.

Previous meeting:

The Whites ran out comfortable winners when the two sides met in August at the So-Trak Stadium. A brace from Abbie Brown and a goal from Laura Bartup had the Whites in a commanding 3-0 lead at half-time, before Macy Ellis’ 78th minute strike sealed the win.

Players to Watch:

Maria Figueiredo is County’s main goal threat, she has netted 10 goals in 16 games so far this season, which sees her sit 5th in the league standings. Ella Ritchie is also on a good run in front of goal, scoring in her last three games.

For Leeds, Abbie Brown has propelled herself to the top of the Whites’ scoring charts with seven goals in her last three games.

The forward has bagged backt-back hat-tricks against Yorkshire Amateurs and Merseyrail, after netting against Fylde in the FAWNL Plate Quarter-Final victory.
