The Saints have teamed up with official club partner, Starling Bank, to offer fans free tickets for the match. More than 7,000 have been claimed meaning that a record crowd for an FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup group stage fixture could be in attendance at St Mary’s Stadium.
Southampton manager Marieanne Spacey-Cale will again be missing from the dugout due to personal matters. She will return after the Christmas break. The Saints have not provided any squad updates ahead of the match but Laura Rafferty, Lexi Lloyd-Smith and Ciara Watling have been notable absentees in recent weeks. Lucia Kendall, Phoebe Williams, Beth Lumsden and Katie Wilkinson are likely to return.
Tottenham Hotspur head coach Rehanne Skinner remains without the services of long-term absentees Kit Graham, Ria Percival, Kyah Simon and Ellie Brazil. Midfielder Ramona Petzelberger is again set to be missing.
