Having played in Europe on Thursday, Frankfurt host Freiburg in the Bundesliga on Sunday hoping to extend their 12-game unbeaten run at Deutsche Bank Park.
Eintracht Frankfurt have become familiar with participating in three different competitions of late, and are in Europe for a third consecutive year. Having earned a 2-1 win over Aberdeen FC in their opening UEFA Europa Conference League group fixture on Thursday, the Eagles now face SC Freiburg at Deutsche Bank Park on Sunday (kick-off 17:30 CEST), the visitors arriving following their 3-2 triumph over Olympiacos in the Europa League during the week. “Thursday’s win in Piraeus will boost their confidence after back-to-back defeats in the Bundesliga,” said Eintracht head coach Dino Toppmöller. “It’s going to be a difficult game – we’re up against a very disciplined, hard-working side who are dangerous from set plays. It’s going to be a big test.”

The 42-year-old's team go into the game undefeated in 2023/24 so far. After starting out with a 1-0 win over SV Darmstadt 98 on Bundesliga Matchday 1, three successive 1-1 draws against Mainz, Köln and Bochum have followed.
Michael Skibbe (2009) and Armin Veh (2012) are the only other Eintracht coaches to have avoided defeat in their first four Bundesliga matches this century. Both suffered their first losses on Matchday 7.
Deutsche Bank Park fortress Eintracht have not lost any of their last 12 Bundesliga assignments at Deutsche Bank Park, a run they are hoping to continue on Sunday.
