The Background

AC Milan and Sampdoria have met seven times before. The first time the two teams met was back when Sampdoria was known as Florentia San Gimignano. The two teams played each other to a 1-1 draw, back in November of 2018. Milan went on to beat the team four more times and lose against them once. Florentina’s license was then purchased by Sampdoria back in June of 2021.

Milan and Sampdoria have since met twice in Serie A Femminile this season. The first match was a tense affair that ended in a 1-0 victory for the Rossonere. The last encounter took place over a week ago, and it ended in a 4-0 win for Milan.

The Rossonere will be buoyed from the momentum of that win and should carry it with them into their match on Sunday.

Prediction

Given the fact that they thumped the Blucerchiate the last time they played them, the Rossonere should win this game too.
