Chelsea will be hoping to secure their place in the quarter-finals of this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League when they travel to the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano to take on Real Madrid on Thursday night.

The Blues have won all three of their group games so far and they hold a five-point advantage over both Paris Saint-Germain and latest opponents Real Madrid who are currently tied in second place on four points. Victory in Spain will seal The Blues’ safe passage into the last-eight with two games to spare.

Real Madrid head coach Alberto Toril is again set to be without the services of forward Lorena Navarro for his side’s latest match. Defender Claudia Florentino was also missing as The Whites won 4-1 at Levante Las Planas at the weekend and her current condition is unknown.

Chelsea manager Emma Hayes is expected to announce virtually a full bill of health ahead of her side’s trip to Madrid. Danish international attacker Pernille Harder is set to be the only absentee with the player sidelined with a hamstring injury until after Christmas.

The UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage match between Real Madrid and Chelsea is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm on Thursday night.
