The Reds have turned a corner ahead of the business end of the campaign and will fancy their chances against the struggling Spurs.

Liverpool are without defeat in their last five Premier League games for the first time this season.

On the other hand, Tottenham have lost two of their last five games and won once.

They have parted ways with Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini this term, and interim manager Ryan Mason will be keen to impress against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Mason kicked off his second stint as Spurs’ temporary boss with a 2-2 draw against Manchester United on Thursday night.

The north London club had to come from two goals down to secure a draw, and it would have done their morale some good ahead of the Liverpool game.

Having won their last three matches, the Merseyside club have boosted their chances of finishing in the top four.

They are seven points off fourth in the Premier League table, and winning their remaining six games could see them secure Champions League football if Manchester United keep stumbling in the league.

Liverpool will be aiming for another victory, but it will not come easy against a Spurs side looking to finish the season on a high.

The Reds won 2-1 in their last game against West Ham United having secured a narrow 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest before that.

They will need to do better against Tottenham to keep their top-four hopes alive.

Liverpool remains without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has not trained for a while.

Diogo Jota picked up a knock on his back but is expected to be available.

Ibrahima Konate will be back in action after missing the West Ham game, according to Klopp, while Naby Keita is expected back in training on Friday.

Roberto Firmino has a muscle issue that kept him out of the matches against Forest and West Ham, and is unlikely to return against Spurs.

Stefan Bajcetic and Calvin Ramsay remain out of action for the rest of the season.

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris missed the second half in the 6-1 loss to Newcastle United due to a muscle injury.

He was unavailable for selection against Man United on Thursday and could miss the trip to Liverpool.

Emerson Royal remains out after undergoing surgery on his meniscus in March and will miss Sunday’s game.

Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur are out of the season, and Ryan Sessegnon is still out, having not featured since February.
