Croatia and Spain go head-to-head on Sunday with the 2022/23 Nations League title up for grabs (see Nations League fixtures and kick-off times here).
A 4-2 victory over the Netherlands after extra time fired Croatia into the final, while Spain defeated Italy 2-1 to book their spot.
Neither side has lifted the trophy before, so we will see a new Nations League champion this weekend.
Croatia are on a mission to win their first international trophy and it would be a brave move to back against them upsetting the odds against Spain.
They showed too much resolve for the Netherlands on Wednesday, with Luka Modric’s late penalty putting the seal on a well-deserved victory.
Sunday’s final will likely be the last chance for several Croatia players to win silverware, and they will be eager to get the job done.
Spain also deserved their victory over Italy after dominating the second half before finally securing a 2-1 win.
They will undoubtedly have plenty of the ball against Croatia but will hope it does not take them as long to break down their stubborn defence.
Spain triumphed 5-3 after extra time when the teams met in the last-16 of the 2020 European Championship, and another tough encounter is on the cards this weekend.
Croatia: Livakovic, Juranovic, Sutalo, Vida, Perisic, Modric, Brozovic, Kovacic, Pasalic, Kramaric, Ivanusec.
Spain: Simon, Navas, Le Normand, Laporte, Alba, Rodri, Merino, Rodrigo, Gavi, Pino, Morata.
Spain looked impressive during the second half against Italy and should possess a little too much class for a Croatia side that will not roll over for them.
