The Blues chalked up a 2-0 victory over The Cityzens, collecting their first three points of the new season. Wednesday’s opponents West Ham United suffered a very different outcome at the weekend as they went down 2-0 at home to Manchester United.
Chelsea manager Emma Hayes could opt to name a similar side to the one which took on Manchester City. The Blues did struggle in parts last time out but it is difficult to see major changes being introduced. Chelsea could again be without the services of Danish international forward Pernille Harder with the player continuing to battle against a niggling injury.
West Ham United travel to Kingsmeadow with no fresh injury concerns. Midfielder Emma Snerle is the only absentee with the player still in rehabilitation following a long term injury. Manager Paul Konchesky could opt for a slight change in formation for this match with The Hammers needing to stay competitive throughout. It remains to be seen whether the West Ham United boss will name the same starting XI for the third match in a row.
The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Chelsea and West Ham United kicks-off at 7.05pm on Wednesday evening. Tickets are on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
