PREVIEW: Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester United

Article image:PREVIEW: Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester United

Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United will be aiming to collect three points for very different reasons when the pair meet at Broadfield Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

The hosts go into their latest Barclays Women’s Super League fixture just one place and two points above bottom club Leicester City. Brighton & Hove Albion face a crucial run of eight games in their quest to retain their top tier status for another season. Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently chasing a first Barclays Women’s Super League title and they cannot afford to drop many more points between now and the end of the campaign.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s interim head coach Amy Merricks will again be without the services of long-term absentees Dejana Stefanović and Maisie Symonds while the current condition of forward Elisabeth Terland is not known.

Manchester United head coach Marc Skinner is unable to call upon defender Maria Thorisdottir with the player sidelined for the remainder of the season. January transfer window signing Lisa Naalsund is also out but Jayde Riviere could be handed a debut at some point in the game.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United kicks-off at 11.30am on Saturday morning. Limited tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
