PREVIEW: Brighton & Hove Albion v Arsenal

Arsenal will be looking to continue their push for the Barclays Women’s Super League title when they travel to Broadfield Stadium to face Brighton & Hove Albion this evening.

The Gunners are just three points off the league summit and have a game-in-hand on league leaders Chelsea. Latest opponents Brighton & Hove Albion are second-bottom of the table and need points sooner rather than later to help eliminate any relegation fears.

Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Jens Scheuer is again without the services of Serbian international midfielder Dejana Stefanović. Scheuer also revealed in the pre-match press conference that Norwegian international forward Elisabeth Terland faces a short spell on the sidelines. It is unknown whether latest signing Lydia Williams will be available for selection.

Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall is not thought to have any fresh injury concerns to contend with. The Gunners remain without long-term absentees Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema who are nursing Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries while youngster Teyah Goldie is not yet back to full fitness. Kathrine Kühl, Victoria Pelova, Gio Queiroz, and Sabrina D’Angelo could be handed their Arsenal debuts.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Brighton & Hove Albion and Arsenal kicks-off at 6.45pm. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
