Scott Booth’s Blues collected their first point of his tenure by battling to a 1-1 draw at West Ham United while Reading won 3-0 at home to Aston Villa.
Birmingham City head coach Booth goes into his side’s latest match with a number of injury concerns. Forwards Sarah Ewens and Veatriki Sarri will miss the fixture against The Royals while full-back Arabella Suttie is out of the season. Northern Irish international Rebecca Holloway will be assessed prior to kick-off but Booth is hoping that she will play. Centre-back Cecilie Sandvej is fit to feature alongside Louise Quinn.
Reading boss Kelly Chambers is again likely to be without Emma Mitchell and Jeon Ga-eul through injury. The Berkshire club have not provided a detailed injury update ahead of this weekend’s fixture. Chambers must decide whether to name a similar side to the one which lost 1-0 at home to second tier side Bristol City in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup or make one or two changes.
The Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture between Birmingham City and Reading kicks-off at 2pm on Sunday afternoon. Fans can buy tickets for the match right up until kick-off at St Andrew’s.
