The Gunners go into the game three points off the league summit with a game-in-hand while Manchester City are joint-top of the table with current leaders Manchester United.
Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall has concerns over the fitness of both Katie McCabe and Kim Little ahead of his side’s latest match. Both players sustained injuries in the midweek victory over Bayern Munich in the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-finals. It is thought that McCabe is the more likely to be declared fit to play. The Gunners remain without the services of long-term absentees Beth Mead, Vivianne Miedema and Steph Catley.
Manchester City head coach Gareth Taylor is likely to hand late fitness tests to defensive duo Alanna Kennedy and Demi Stokes with both players nursing knocks. Forward Lauren Hemp will be available for selection after overcoming a recent illness.
The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Arsenal and Manchester City is scheduled to kick-off at 12.30pm on Sunday afternoon. The game has been declared a sell-out with no further tickets expected to be made available.
