Scorers: N/A

América are a side that have struggled to control games of late and their clash at Pumas was no different. The visitors started brightly enough, pressing high up the field Diego Valdés latched onto a loose pass.

Álvaro Fidalgo reacted quicker in the six-yard area, swivelling to deflect the ball goalwards with the outside of his right foot, but it sailed harmlessly over the bar.

A disjointed and uneventful second-half was brought to life only briefly when second-half substitute Diogo saw himself cautioned twice in quick succession – the second for an attempted overhead quick which made no contact with the ball, but did with the defender’s head.

The game ended goalless and, with one win in seven games, pressure continues to mount on AmĂ©rica’s manager Santiago Solari.
