Luis Enrique has for a second week in a row left Presnel Kimpembe (29) out of the Paris Saint-Germain matchday squad.

The centre-back recently recovered from an Achilles injury which had seen him ruled out of action since February 2023. His return was met with an immediate inclusion into the matchday squad for the clash with Bayern Munich in the Champions League on the 26th of November.

However, Kimpembe was surprised to find himself left out of the next matchday squad when PSG hosted FC Nantes at the Parc des Princes. L’Équipe reported that this omission was a source of tension with the defender allegedly expressing his “frustration” to multiple people at the club.

Despite his frustration, the situation does not appear to have changed for Kimpembe who has once again been left out of the squad that will travel to face AJ Auxerre later this evening.
