After off-loading Cengiz Ünder and Pau Lopez, Roma, and more specifically General Manager Tiago Pinto, are looking to get rid of the likes of Justin Kluivert, Robin Olsen and yes, Javier Pastore. After appearing in only 5 league matches last season, the Argentinian player is likely to leave the Roman club after three rather unsuccessful seasons.

Recently, Andreas Fassi, the president and club owner of Tallares, Pastore’s boyhood club, spoke to La Voz about rumors linking the 32-year-old to a return to Argentina.

“I know Pastore wants to continue playing in Europe. He will eventually return at some point, but not right now. Here at Tallares the door is always open for him.”

Thus, the search for a viable solution for the player continues, with Monaco expressing concrete interest in the player. A potential sale would help the Roman club reduce the annual balance sheet by €12 million.
